Hi everyone, Ulli here with you today to share a scrapbook page idea I’ve made with the Maggie Holmes Flourish collection. This range is one of my favorite collections of hers and it was rereleased at Joann Stores last month!

Scrapbooking Tip for Beginners:

My plan was to make a scrapbook page only with scissors, glue and some of the Flourish papers and embellishments. This is a great scrapbook idea for beginners and doesn’t require any special crafting tools like a die cutting machine.

You can get started in scrapbooking by using something like the Flourish Project Pad which has paper and stickers in one. Then if you want, you can use more coordinating products from the Flourish collection to add more layers. As a special element on my page I used one of these adorable wood frames to frame my photo.

I also used the fussy cutting technique and layered many of these pretty pink roses as a focal element on my page. This is an easy technique for beginner scrapbookers because it only requires a pair of scissors and a piece of paper. Read this post for how to do the fussy cutting technique.

How to Make this Pretty Pink Floral Scrapbook Page:

• My starting point was the background paper. I love the amazing look of this Aviary patterned paper and chose it for my base.
• Next I framed my photo with this oval wood frame. I used tacky tape to glue my photo behind the frame because this is the best glue for materials like this.
• Third, I fussy cut nearly all of these wonderful pink roses from this floral paper. It’s part of the brand new and exclusive Flourish Project Pad at Joann Stores.
• After cutting out all the flowers, I layered them all together in the center of my page.
• And then I added the frame with the photo on the left side and glued the cute embroidered bird patch and the blue sequin flower onto the frame.

Cute Ideas for Embellishing your Scrapbook Page: 

• Add a title – For my title I used the transparent die cut which says “lovely” from the Ephemera Pack. I used my sewing machine to stitch it onto the page. If you are a beginner scrapbooker and don’t want to use a sewing machine, you can glue it down instead. Be sure to use scrapbook adhesive made for clear or transparent elements. Using a transparent adhesive runner like this one will ensure that you don’t see it behind the title.
• Add string to the tag – I added black baker’s twine on the pretty tag and glued it between some of the flowers. You don’t have to add the twine, but it does make it feel more complete.

• Then I used two roses which I fussy cut and glued them on the top of my layout. It’s always good when elements repeat on a scrapbooking page.
• I added another cute scrapbook idea at the bottom. Simply tear the paper on the bottom a little bit and place the Poppy Patterned Paper with green hearts behind.

Finishing Steps for Your Pink Floral Scrapbook Page:

• The fun part for me is always the final decorating of my scrapbooking pages. I used the beautiful stickers from this Flourish sticker sheet and the stickers from the Flourish Project Pad for it.
• Add cute phrase stickers – I love word stickers and so I added many of them under my photo and some on the frame and the tag.
• Scrapbook Tip for Beginners – I always use some 3D glue dots behind some of my stickers to add some dimension.

• I also fussy cut some of the green little hearts from the Poppy paper and glued them and some of the heart stickers on my page.
• To finish off this page I stamped the date with a date roller stamp on the flowers. And finally I splattered some black ink across the page.
