Hi there, it’s Ulli here with you today to share a new scrapbook idea using Maggie Holmes new  Heritage collection. I love this collection so much and today I have a scrapbook page about friendship, which I made with the beautiful Sincerely Paper.

The scrapbook technique I will be using today is fussy cutting. If you are looking for instructions on fussy cutting, you’ll want to read this post about the fussy cutting technique and this post with our best fussy cutting tips.

Fussy Cutting a Paper Floral Wreath:

• When I saw the beautiful floral wreath on this paper from the Heritage collection, I knew I had to fussy cut it!  Beautiful floral images like these are perfect for fussy cutting!
• When you are fussy cutting small intricate details like these flowers, it’s important to have patience! It took me some time to do this one and I worked on it a few different times before I was finished.
• Once I had the whole paper flower wreath cut out, I decided it felt too big to use on the page as a whole. So instead, I decided to cut the wreath in pieces and designed my page with three parts.
• I glued the biggest part of the wreath on the left side. Next I glued a second little part from the floral wreath on the right bottom edge. 

Creating a Friendship Theme Scrapbook Page:

To make a scrapbook page about friendship, you can use any supplies that work well with your photos. Bright colorful, happy feeling papers and embellishments also work really well for a friendship theme scrapbook page. Here are the products I used and the steps I took to create my page:

• I wanted to fill my layout with more flowers because flowers remind me of friends! So I fussy cut bigger flowers from the Heritage Perennial paper and the Grandiflora paper from the Maggie Holmes Flourish collection.
• Remember, it’s ok to mix and match different collections as long as the colors look nice together!
• I layered my black and white photo on these wonderful roses in pink and yellow.
• Next, I had the idea to split the layout in three parts or three areas of focus. The first is the main area with the photo and title. Second is the area with my journaling at the top right corner. Finally is the last area at the bottom corner with the date. 
• Dividing your scrapbook page into specific areas like this really tells you what the focus is. It also keeps the page looking organized even when you want to use a lot of embellishments.

How I used the new Maggie Holmes Heritage products:

• Ephemera pack – I wrote my journaling by hand on one of the pieces.
• Stickers – I used a fancy label sticker and the colorful transparent alphabet stickers to spell April. I love these colorful alphabet letters in different letterings. They are so cute and so versatile. 
• Black and Gold Alphabet Stickers – I used them to spell my title of “Friends”. I intentionally glued the alphabet a little wavy on my layout because I wanted a playful look.
• Chipboard Stickers – I used the cute blue house and also decorated the whole layout with some little chipboard pieces (heart and branches).
• Blush Pink Paper Flowers – I added two of these wonderful pinkish roses and I love that they are dimensional!
• Gold Glitter Butterflies – I placed this a little above the center and I love the sparkle of the glitter!
• Clear Sticker Pack – I also embellished my scrapbook page about friends with some of the little quote stickers and butterfly stickers.

Each of the embellishments are so wonderful and they give all your projects a magical look!

Finally I splattered black and gold ink across my page. And I also added some enamel dots in the colors from the Heritage collection here and there. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Until the next time! xo, Ulli
