We have an awesome new scrapbook page idea for you today! A carnival Inspired Scrapbook Layout from one of my amazing design team members! Read on for all the details!
Hi everyone, Ulli here on the Maggie Holmes Blog and I hope you are having a great week! In Germany we celebrate Carnival in February and I found some pictures from our kids from last year, which I wanted to use for a new scrapbook layout. And what Maggie Holmes collection could match better than the Carosuel collection! We had a little pirate and a little Anna (Frozen) and they were too cute.
This time I wanted to mix and match some of the previous collections of Maggie Holmes. It was so fun to look in my drawers and boxes to search after pretty papers and some fun elements for this page.
Carnival Inspired Scrapbook Layout
My Scrapbook Process for this Carnival Themed Layout:
- First I used a white 12×12 cardstock for my page and used the Heritage Childhood paper to cover half of it. I fussy cut the scalloped border at about 6 inches high and also added a 1 Inch paper strip from the striped Happy Place paper from the Sunny Days collection.
- Second, I added a Carousel paper clip on my left picture. Then I glued the pictures with 3D adhesive dots on my page.
- Additionally I layered many bits & pieces under the photos: Stickers, Crepe Fringe, Word Sticker and Puffy Sticker. I also used many 3D glue dots under the stickers to add some dimension.
- Next I I glued the title with the Carousel Foam Alphabet Stickers in Gold and Mint on the right picture and added on the bottom a banner sticker with the year.
- On the right side of my page I added with black fineliner some lines and wrote my journaling on it by hand.
Carnival Inspired Scrapbook Layout Finishing Touches:
- To finish off my page, I added a big prize ribbon from the Bloom collection on my pictures and a camera puffy sticker from the Chasing Dreams collection.
- Next I splattered gold and black ink across the page and added some gold sequins and blue and green stars on my page.
- Additionally I glued two little houses from the Willow Lane Mini Puffy stickers under my banner on the bottom.
- Finally I stamped the date with a date roller stamp over my journaling.
