Hi friends! I don’t know about you but I’m loving a little bit of purple for fall this year and the color wash that design team member, Kim, used on her scrapbook page here has me totally inspired! I especially love how it contrasts against these green leaves, which are pretty much my favorite greens ever! Once you have the color wash painted on your background page, the rest comes together pretty quickly by adding your photo, the flower die cuts and some stickers! Read on for all the details.
I just love creating a fun background! Most of the time I start with whatever color is on my mind at the time. I do have the colors in the collections in the back of my mind though, so somehow it always seems to come together!
For this page I started creating my background with a little purple paint and then I added some white paint to blend with the purple and fade out the colors as I moved up the page. I love all the flower die cuts and wanted to create a sort of bouquet around my photo. The pinks and purples went perfectly with the painted background! There are so many pretty layers you could add using the paper cuts but I kept my page pretty simple by adding just a few of the flowers along with the “love” tag and then a couple of stickers as well.
