Hi friends! Today we have a new Gratitude Theme Scrapbook Page Idea using the Silhouette Cameo! Read on for all the details on how to make this beautiful new scrapbook page!
Hey everyone, it’s Kathleen back with you today on Maggie Holmes blog sharing a new scrapbook page idea. This scrapbook page is about gratitude with the title “Thankful for you” and uses the Silhouette Cameo die cut machine! I’m also showing you an idea for using the gold glitter polka dot paper from Maggie’s Heritage collection! I usually use acetate specialty papers in my mini albums, but thought I’d challenge myself to use it on a layout.
Gratitude Theme Scrapbook Layout:
- First I cut out this floral pumpkin cut file with my Silhouette Cameo die cut machine.
- Then I placed patterned papers behind the flowers and leaves to make them stand out.
- Next I decide to add the gold glitter polka dot paper behind the pumpkin to make it stand out against my background. Also I added white cardstock behind the polka dot paper so it wouldn’t blend in with the peach background paper.
- For my background I used this peach paper called “childhood”.
How to Embellish this Cute Gratitude Theme Scrapbook idea:
- Because the cut file image already takes up most of the layout, I wanted to keep my embellishments pretty simple.
- Therefore, I die cut a few small flowers to layer on the page. But I didn’t want to overdo it!
- Furthermore, I wanted to add a nice big title. I decided on “Thankful for You” because pumpkins make me think of Thanksgiving, which makes me think of gratitude and being thankful!
- For some finishing touches I splattered gold spray paint around the pumpkin, repeating the gold from other areas on my page.
- I also used some of the phrase stickers from the Maggie Holmes Heritage clear sticker book.
I’m really happy with how this scrapbook page about gratitude turned out, especially because I got out of my comfort zone by not using a white background! I hope you enjoyed this new scrapbook page idea and that it inspires you in some way! Thanks for stopping by! Xo, Kathleen
