Hi friends! I’m still crushing on this baby girl collection from Crate Paper! It’s absolutely darling and I wanted to share some of my favorite products from the line with you, along with a few insights into my process for making this page!
I used a lot of different things from the collection to create this baby girl scrapbook page about Elizabeth Kate. I can’t get over how tiny she was and this photo takes me right back to those precious first days and weeks with her. Ahhh, I love newborn babes so much!
The pink puffy alphabet stickers are a big favorite for me. I used them to spell her name at the top of my layout and then stitched across the top of them all with my sewing machine. Next I lifted them up a bit at the bottom of each letter so they would appear to be hanging — like a banner.
One of my go to techniques is clustering my embellishments together to create a strong focal point and that’s what I did here around my photo. You can layer stickers, chipboard, brads, sequins, etc. For me it’s all about making the page come to life a bit so it doesn’t feel too flat. I just love that about scrapbooking – the art of layering and using all of these elements in way that adds some dimension to the page.
I love mixing vintage music paper and book paper with this collection. The color palette is so soft and pretty to begin with and then the warmth and creaminess of the vintage papers just brings it all together for me!
I also really like that this collection doesn’t necessarily scream baby, which makes it super versatile. It has a lot of cute baby icons but there’s also a lot that can be used for little girl pages or even everyday pages – like the cute florals and the darling arrow and bow stickers too!
