Studio Calico New Collections > Wanderlust

Next up I want to share the new Wanderlust collection from Studio Calico with you!!

>> Wanderlust <<

This layout uses mostly the new Wanderlust Collection. What I love about this one is how versatile the products are! I found that many of them are neutral enough that you could use them for any type of layout.

HOW TO >> I heat embossed the wood veneer number 8 with gold glitter zing and absolutely LOVE the result!! (I used the Versamark watermark stamp pad and the Zap heat gun & repeated the process twice to get a nice thick, even coat of the embossing.)

I also cut apart the stitched frame and just used the "follow your dreams" piece as an embellishment, which I overlapped onto the large cork frame.

QUICK TIPS >> You don't always have to use frames as frames! Think outside the box and use them as part of your layering like I did here. I LOVE how the cork frame adds in a different texture behind the paper and gives the page some more dimension. And speaking of dimension you will notice that some of the items seem to be floating up off the page. The secret is to use these foam tab circles! I go through these like crazy!!

The tiny word stickers and vellum phrase stickers are a must have that I know I will use on everything because they are perfect to add a little caption or snippet about the photo/story I am scrapbooking!!

Some other products that I didn't have in my hands when I created this layout, but that are on my list of "must haves" are the fabric bows, the gold glitter banners, the mini arrow punch and the phrases roller stamp!!

Are you loving Wanderlust as much as I am?? If so, it is in the shop now!! But I would hurry, because the new stuff always goes quick!!

Let me know if you have any questions about the techniques or supplies to create the layout!

Love your layouts. I need to learn how to heat emboss. Maybe someone has a video on YouTube. I have to get that phrase stamp. Thanks also for showing the cork frame. I have sheets of cork I use to make embellishments but am always up for a new idea. Oh wow I just noticed that arrow punch! Awesome! Thanks for showing all this great stuff. Michelle t
