Hi friends! We have a beautiful scrapbook page for you today from design team member, Jessy. The girls are really inspiring me with the way they are using the patterned papers and cutting out all the detailed designs to use on their layouts! Jessy shows us how she cut out all the pretty flowers from the Blossom paper to make this gorgeous page below so be sure to read on for the tutorial. Hello again! Today I would like to share with you this layout that I created with Maggie’s newest collection called Willow Lane. I really love the good mix of pretty and cute illustrations + patterns in this one. This collection is certainly great for many themes and perfect for memory keeping! 
With all of Maggie’s collections, I always browse through anything floral that I can fussy cut. I’m so glad that I found one I knew would look great on my layout. Just before I started on my fussy cuttings, I primed the white cardstock with some gesso all around. Once that was done, I went ahead with painting gold stripes. It was inspired by the cardigan my youngest was wearing – the stripes and the overall colors in the photos. I chose gold because I wanted something subtle and did’t want to go overboard with the rest of the colors. I also splattered some black & gold mist at the corners of the layout.
When I was done with all the fussy cuttings, I went ahead and composed the layout. I placed the photos somewhere in the middle and slowly added the fussy cuttings & worked my way from the top to the bottom. I decided to add the floral at the top right just to create some balance. Then, I continued to add more elements like stickers all around the layout to give the extra texture I was going for. I also added some foam dots underneath my fussy cuttings to create the 3D look all around the layout. I like adding dimension that way!
Those clear stickers are just perfect to add onto photographs, don’t you think so? Lastly, I layered the layout onto a piece of blue cardstock. I wanted to have more blue to balance the layout & that sure gave a fun & bold impact to my overall layout! And to complete my layout, I stitched the corners.
