Hi there!! It’s hard to believe that it is 2015 already!! This year is already starting off on a fabulous note since we have a new little baby in our home! His sweet little spirit is definitely the highlight of all our days right now and we are soaking up every bit of his precious sweetness!!
It’s also going to be an exciting year here on the blog with lots of NEW products in the works and lots of inspiring and beautiful projects to come from the design team!! To kick things off we have a gorgeous scrapbook page from Kim today and some awesome tips for using watercolors and your Silhouette Cameo!
Hi everyone and welcome to the New Year! I wanted to start the year out with a fresh and light layout using some of the fun vellum ephemera in the Open book collection! They come in the yummiest colors and just pop against a white background!
I created my page with just a light wash of grey watercolor around the edges and layered some of the vellum pieces next to my photo! I can’t help adding just a little watercolor to my projects for a little whimsy and depth. Plus I attempt to paint everyday using them!
If you want to add more watercolor to your pages but hate the wrinkle effect it gives, then try using a thicker watercolor paper in 11×14. Since I add most of my pages to a colored background I just cut it down to 11×11 and it works! Watercolor paper cuts in my Silhouette Cameo really well plus there is no warping which makes me a happy girl!
Thanks for stopping by today and Happy New Year!
