Gifts from the Heart

Today Stephanie is sharing a darling little act of kindness that she did with her kids. I love the message she shares about trying to instill in her kiddos the importance of being kind! In fact I just posted on Instagram about this very thing last weekend and I then ended up writing a more detailed blog post about this topic and an experience I recently had, which I am posting tomorrow! If you’d like to read about it and get a more personal glimpse into my world, you can check back for that!

In the meantime, read on for Stephanie’s tips about serving others and getting your kids involved in the process… and to see the cute little packages that they made for their neighbors using the Confetti collection.

One of the virtues I really try to instill in my children is kindness.  Being kind to others can get you so far in life, and you can see a kind heart from a mile away.  We talk a lot about kindness, being kind, and doing things for others, but lately, we’ve decided to put our words into action.  Once a week, we think up something we can do for someone else to bring them happiness and to show kindness.  We’ve had free lemonade and cupcakes stands, we’ve delivered donuts to our neighbors, we’ve tied random balloons around our neighborhood…  These things might be little, but my kids LOVE doing them and I love to see them finding ways to make others happy and to spread kindness.

This week, my kids decided they wanted to deliver cookies to their friends in the neighborhood.  We didn’t’ have any of the ingredients to make cookies, but we did have some fun ABC cookies in our pantry that we decided to package up.

My kids added the cookies to a few glassine bags, and then we finished them up with pretty decorations.  Adding a little pizzazz to these bags makes them so much more special and personal!  For our decorations, I just used a doily and a few stickers.  It really doesn’t take much and it’s a great way to use up all of those extra supplies!

Once we were finished, my kids set off delivering their cookies and spreading happiness.  There’s nothing better.

Thanks so much for joining me today!!  I hope I’ve inspired you to use those supplies and spread kindness!  xoxo

What a sweet little gift to receive! I even love that they just used animal cookies!! It’s a great reminder that service doesn’t need to be over the top or extravagant or even take hours to make! It really is the thought that counts!!

Happy Tuesday!

Very generous, I get inspired by YouTube and when I go out shopping I really like looking at the store windows and she the creativity.

Wow. I adore this post. I try to instill the importance of being kind to others too. Especially with my children. I tell them to do things without materialistic reward. As there is always a greater gift awaiting us 😀
