Scrapbook Idea – Maggie Holmes Project Pad

Today we have another new scrapbook idea using the Maggie Holmes Project Pad! If you haven’t gotten one of these new paper pads yet, you are going to want one!! There are so many cute scrapbook pages and paper crafts you can make using this one paper pad! Today Jessy is going to show us a darling new scrapbook page idea that you will definitely want to try!

Scrapbook Idea – Maggie Holmes Project Pad:

Hello all of my crafty friends! Have you been checking out the new Maggie Holmes products in Joann Stores? If you haven’t, you should soon! Today I’m sharing a scrapbook layout I created with the Maggie Holmes Heritage Project Paper Pad. What I love the most about this paper pad is everything has been coordinated so perfectly!! You can craft with ease using this one product because it has you covered!!

Steps to Make this Cute New Scrapbook Page using Maggie Holmes Project Paper Pad:

• Firstly, cut a few strips of colorful patterned paper. I chose the one that looks like color blocks or color swatches right from the paper pad.
• Next you will prepare some ruffled crepe paper. You can ruffle basic crepe paper using your sewing machine or you can ruffle it right onto the page with adhesive as you go.
• Third, you will alternate the paper and crepe paper by layering them on top of each other.
• Once that is done, you can some photos and start to embellish around the photos.
• For embellishments, I used mostly cardstock stickers for this layout.

Scrapbook Tips for Beginners and Advanced Scrapbookers:

• Limit the amount of products you are trying to use – Sometimes focusing on only a couple of products (instead of lots) it is easier to work your way around and create. This certainly helps speed up the process too! In this case, only using the project pad (with the included stickers) would be a great place to start! If you like, you can then add a couple more products in.
• Coordinate products to your photos – Usually I will try to match the colors from the photos with the products I choose, so that the overall color of the scrapbook page will flow together. I love a cohesive looking layout. It is not only pretty but it is pleasing to the eye too and makes you look like a seasoned scrapbooker!
•  Add texture and dimension – To add more texture to the layout, I went with the paper crepe ruffles. It is a simple technique, but yet it gives a very delicate and fun overall look!
