Watercolor Butterflies

Hello friends! The weather is so lovely here right now and we’ve been trying to get outside a lot so that we can soak it up and truly enjoy it. The orange trees are in blossom and we live in an area that used to be an orange grove so there are still a lot of orange trees and they smell SO SO amazing!!! We love walking to get the mail because they smell so good and we also drive with the windows down when we are leaving/coming from the neighborhood. I wish there was some way you could smell it!

The layout Kim is sharing today has me inspired to take some photos of the trees in blossom and document this in our scrapbook. It’s a great memory for our family and I’d love to create a page that records how much we love them and love being outside in the spring!! I’m also dying to try making some of these watercolor butterflies! So pretty!!

Hi everyone, I’m sharing a colorful page today! I paint most pages because I simply want to start with a colorful base and then go from there. I have sheets in my stash of different painted pages. It’s easier that way because it helps me keep a few quick things to start from. Most painted pages need time to dry and flatten out. I used a fun floral stencil on my background as well.

Since my son is getting older I have to do scrap pages on other things like day to day activities or nature shots which is ok with me. You should scrapbook all the things you love! For this page I went with a pretty botanical print. Nature is a favorite of mine and is always a source of inspiration.

I added lots of fun chipboard embellishments and some hand drawn alpha elements. It’s totally allowed to go overboard sometimes with color and paint. There are times when I love simple and classic and other times when I really love lots of layers and embellishments. It’s just fun to try things, sometime you can be so surprised by the results! Thanks and have a good day!Happy Tuesday!
