Amanda is brand new to the scrapbooking side of things and it’s so wonderful to see her branching out and trying her hand at recording her memories through photos and words!! Today she is jumping into the realm of Project Life (or pocket based scrapbooking) and has created such a beautiful spread! This type of memory keeping is definitely a great way to start if you are overwhelmed by the idea of flu 12×12 pages!!
Hi Friends. Happy Thursday! I am so excited to be sharing with you my first ever project life layout using Maggie’s new Confetti collection. I have been really challenging myself since I joined Maggie’s design team to try new things. I have always been a lover of pretty paper and embellishments but never really used them for scrapbooking and memory keeping.
It seems like yesterday that I was in Arizona visiting Maggie and hosting our first BE CRAFTY workshop together. One of the highlights from the workshop was finally getting the opportunity to try an amazing waffle from the Waffle Love truck. I’m hoping I will be able to convince Maggie to make a stop this weekend while I am in town as we host our second workshop together!
I love how simple and easy it was to create this layout. I added a handful of gold sequins to the top left pocket and sewed on top of the embellished heart to add texture . Using my typewriter I added the date to the paper heart.
After adding a photo to a 4×4 single pocket I sewed a paper tag to the side, along with adding a sticker to the top. Lots of big smiles after eating that amazing waffle.
