I am already up in Utah for a visit. My sister-in-law, Sunny, wanted to come up to see her family so we drove up together with our kids last Monday. It has been great to be here (except for the snow and cold)! I am staying at my parent’s house and they are having so much fun with the boys! Although, I think they will be ready for us to leave so they can have some peace and quiet again!! lol! It has been a super busy and super fun week!
Monday – drove all day – 11 hours with 5 kids in one car but they did great! thank goodness for that dvd player in my car!!
Tuesday – hung out with my family – went to Target and to lunch. went to the hospital to visit grandma and grandpa holmes. he had to have his gall bladder taken out this week and is doing fine now. he sure knows how to get my kids giggling! he was flicking water on them and they got so riled up that the nurse came on the intercom and told us to quiet down! — our cue to leave and we snuck out the back hall to avoid the nurse’s station!!
Wednesday – took Tyler up to the Pingree School for a surprise visit!! they had no clue we were coming and it was the best surprise!! his teachers and friends were so excited!! we stayed for about an hour and Tyler just joined right in – playing with his friends!! I can tell that he misses it! he asks me all the time if his friends are in school today!! then we met up with my aunt and my sister-in-law, Christie, to take the kids to Curious George. they loved it!
Thursday – my friends from my old ward had a luncheon for me at Christie Lewis’ house. it was great – 10 of my closest friends from the neighborhood and all the kids. i am so thankful for these girls and their friendship! so glad that I got to see all of them! went to Target (again) with Christie and got some really cute stuff for my house – so excited about that!!
Friday – met up with my rockin friend, Loni, and we went to Jessi‘s house to see her and her newest little guy, Grant. he is adorable and Jessi looks fabulous – the cutest mom!! it was a blast as usual – love these girls and love hangin with them. I am glad we got to just sit and talk for a couple of hours – and of course there was a lot of picture taking! went up to the hospital to see grandma and grandpa Holmes again. then took the boys to Tate Pederson’s birthday party – a friend from our old neighborhood. it was a super hero and princess costume party! Tyler was batman and Matthew was spiderman. they had so much fun!!
Saturday – went out to my brother’s house for Cole’s birthday party. he turned three and had a thomas the train party. the boys loved it! they have just played non-stop all week. when it was over, Matthew was asking who’s party is tomorrow!! went to Old Navy and then Tai Pan – a wholesale home decor store. got some more fun things for my house – can’t wait to get in there so I can start decorating!! got a babysitter last night and went to a movie with my mom and sister-in-law, Christie.
It has definitely been a fun-filled week! We miss Brian though and are anxious to get home to see him! I have taken a ton of photos but haven’t uploaded any of them yet – hopefully I will get to it later this week if my computer cooperates!! I am posting a couple of pictures that Loni took when we were at Jessi’s. I swiped them off of her blog – hope you don’t care Lon!! All of the credit goes to her – she is so talented!!
