Vintage Modern Girls Room Makeover Reveal

I am so excited to reveal my girls’ room redo with you today! We went with a modern vintage style that is an eclectic mix of new and old and I am beyond thrilled with how it all turned out!! I have had the privilege of working with the ladies at Mom’s Best Network and Destination Nursery on creating this space and bringing it all together. It’s been a labor of love and I’m happy to finally share the results and a bit about the process with you!!

The girls previously each had their own room but when we found out baby #6 was a boy we knew that we would need to move Lizzy in with Emily and create a shared space for the two of them. They were super excited and Lizzy especially could’t wait to start sleeping in a big girl bed!! I was gifted this amazing bed from my sister in law and gave it a fresh coat of white paint in order to have a nice blank background for some new bedding.  Soon after I fell in love with a vintage blue dresser that I found at my favorite antique market and knew that it would be a fun addition to the room.

Besides those two pieces I was pretty open to changing everything else so when I saw that Destination Nursery was holding a giveaway for a kids room makeover, I thought it would be fun to enter! I normally don’t win these types of things so when they announced that I had won, I was over the moon excited!! As part of the giveaway I would be receiving custom bedding and curtains made with Caitlin Wilson Textiles, a painting from Britt Bass and a doll & basket from Baby Swag Co. So fun!!

We got right to work picking out the fabrics so that Windows by Melissa could make the curtains and Fingers and Toes could make the custom Duvet and Euro pillows. Picking the fabrics was definitely the hardest part for me because I love ALL of Caitlin Wilson’s patterns!! But with the help of the design team at Mom’s Best & Destination Nursery we narrowed it down and had a start to the room!

Once we got talking about adding some other things to the room (lamps, rug and new nightstands) I brought Land of Nod on as an additional sponsor and was thrilled to add some of their beautiful pieces to the mix! Their white Jenny Lind chair is the chair of my dreams and although it is a small space, I couldn’t imagine the room without it now!

The Britt Bass painting adds such a fun pop of color and I love that it also adds a bold modern contrast to the vintage elements in the room! This was another piece that was super hard to pick because all of her paintings are truly amazing!!

Thank you again and again to Mom’s Best Network, Destination Nursery and all of the sponsors involved in the giveaway and room makeover. My girls and I are beyond grateful and so happy to have such a beautiful space that wouldn’t have been possible without all of them!!

I will be sharing more photos and details about the styling and smaller pieces that I used to decorate the room in a future post so stay tuned for that! If there is anything you would like to know about, please post in the comments so I can be sure to answer it! Also be sure to check out Mom’s Best Network for some additional photos of the room reveal!
