The Cutest Little Summer Mini Album!

I never met a mini album I didn’t LOVE and this one from Amanda is no exception! I love that she picked the theme of Summer to create a little book around. It’s perfect to document and remember all of the fun things you did over the summer. Especially now that the seasons will start changing soon and kiddos are going back to school…. a cute little Summer themed mini album is the perfect keepsake to look back on. Read on to find out exactly how Amanda made this darling DIY Summer mini book!

I could create mini albums everyday if I had enough photos to fill them. They have quickly become one of my favorite projects to make. They require no rules and can be created with multiple mediums.

To start, I painted a few pieces of cardboard from a recycled box. I sprayed the front and back cover with gold spray paint. Both the cardboard cover and backing is sized to 4×6 as I knew I wanted to incorporate full size images throughout the album.

Once the gold spray paint had dried, I painted a pink diagonal triangle across the right side. Using glitter letters I titled the album S U M M E R . Lastly, I added a ribbon to my metal ring for the finishing touch.

To start adding pages to my album, I chose a variety of patterned papers from the Confetti collection and placed them inside the album. In between the papers I added in my full size 4×6 photos.

On each full sized photo I added a gold hole cover over the punched hole. Using my hole punch, I punched a small hole in the middle of the gold circle sticker and then placed it onto my photo over the first hole I punched.

I love adding in little memories throughout my mini albums. Recently, a friend and I spent the day at the flea market + antique stores. As we walked out of one of the stores I spotted a pink SOLD ticket that was tied to a chair. I couldn’t take my eyes off it, maybe because it was pink. I love vintage graphics, especially tags. I walked back into the store and asked for the tag. After the clerk cut the tag off the chair I tucked it into my wallet and knew it would be fun to scrap with .

S U M M E R , you are going to be missed. I love you and your warm sunshine and peony flowers. I hope this mini album has inspired you to make your own summer mini album filled with your favorite memories!!

Happy Thursday!
