One of my very favorite things about creating and designing products is the chance to see how everyone else uses them! I always have a vision for how I would use everything and it’s completely inspiring when I see others creating with the products and using them in ways I would never have thought of! Even just the way you all combine different papers and embellishments is so fun to see! It really sparks my creativity and keeps me inspired to continue dreaming up and creating new products!
Today design team member, Jessy, is sharing a layout that she made using the Gather products as her inspiration. I love how she takes the time to look through everything and that she lets the colors and different patterns guide her creative process. It’s so fun to get a glimpse into how other creative minds work and what she thinks through as she is making her scrapbook pages. And then to see it all come together as she shares her process is so fun! Thanks for sharing with us Jessy!
Hello everyone! Today I’m so excited to share with you another project I’ve created with Maggie’s newest collection, Gather! And as always, I just can’t stop staring at all the beautiful pieces. It’s perfect for so many themes & celebrations! Trust me, you’ll go head over heels once you see them in real life!
I am so inspired by these products and can’t stop creating with them. I always take some time to look through each product & paper when I receive a new collection. Often times, I get inspiration just by looking at the patterns and designs. While browsing the Gather collection, this particular patterned paper called Details captured my attention. I really loved both sides, especially with all the colorful patterns, so I decided to use them together. Lovely, isn’t it? Once the paper was adhered onto the white cardstock, I worked on the embellishments. I started from the top and worked to the bottom and added little details in between.
The stripes on the patterned paper gave me an idea to snip it and create paper fringe. I absolutely adore the outcome! It sure gives a fun dimension to the layout. The black & white photo is perfect against all the colourful elements. It gives a classy look too! When finishing your scrapbook page, layering the ephemera, stickers, thickers and chipboard stickers will create great texture & dimension to your layout. Thanks for coming by and have a great week! xoxo Jessy
