I literally LOVE every single mini album that Stephanie creates, and this one is no exception!! Even though it is simple in design, the sentiment behind it is very meaningful and I know it will be a treasure to her family for many many years to come!! It’s definitely a project you could tackle in one sitting or one day, depending on how quickly you work, which is a bonus as well! Plus she got the whole family involved, which I love as well!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays! I love that there is a time dedicated just to being thankful. I love reflecting back on our lives and all that we have, and having a day to celebrate that feeling is just amazing.
One activity my family and I enjoy doing every year is creating some sort of “thankful” board, book or list. We have created framed pictures, mini albums, posters and even a thankful tree. They are all priceless memories of our ages. For our activity this year, I decided to put together a simple little mini album to hold our “thankful thoughts”.
Creating this mini album could not be easier! I used just ONE 12×12 piece of card stock, which I trimmed into six 4×6 inch pieces (one page per family member, as well as one cover and end piece).
The inside of the album includes one decorated page/pocket for each of us. I used a few trimmed papers from the Open Book collection as paper layers and included a sewn vellum pocket on top. The pocket holds a photo, as well as a tag where our “thankful thoughts” are written.
The Open Book die cut and vellum pieces add the perfect little finishing touches to each vellum pocket.
I printed photos using my Instax camera and then slid them right into each cute pocket. I love the vintage look of these photos! And they go so well with the Open Book collection!
And while I really love this simple mini album, my very favorite part is seeing my family’s thankful thoughts.
There really is nothing better than this card written by my daughter. Her pictures, writing and spelling are priceless and I treasure these little memories so very much!
Thank you so much for letting me share this little mini album with you! I hope you will grab a piece of card stock and create your very own “thankful thoughts” album. I promise you it will become a treasured book!
