Hello!! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! We are kicking off the week here on the blog with some fun spring cards using my new Confetti collection! I know I’ve mentioned it before but the new line is definitely NOT just for party related projects!! You can use so many of the elements for both party and everyday things!!
On this first card it has a Happy Birthday message but with a spring | floral design and color scheme. When creating birthday cards I like to decorate them to match the style or feel to the person that will receive the card. For example I would create a card like this for my mom | sister | girlfriends. For my kids’ friends I would create a card that has a more youthful and little kid feel to it.
I embossed some vellum using the music note embossing folder and then adhered that onto the gold foil polka dot paper. I love that you can see the music notes but you can also still see the gold dots peeking through! Tip >> We designed the music note embossing folder to have no words so that you can use it for birthday projects and any other generic project as well!!
The next card is a generic card that could be used for any occasion or just to say HELLO to a friend! This one definitely shows how you can take pieces from the collection to create an everyday feel with the pretty floral and feminine touches!
I love to mix all of the different products to create dimension and texture >> vellum, die cuts with glitter, chipboard, gold foil pieces etc. It makes for a super detailed look that appears to have taken a long time to create, when in reality all of those extra elements are already done for you!! Who doesn’t love that!?!
