So Fun!

Hi friends! Isn’t it interesting to see how differently people use the same set of products? My new Carousel collection has lots of pinks and bright yellows and you might not even guess at first that this layout was made with those products! Just by adding in some deeper tones and the warmer yellow, Kim has used the Carousel line in such a different way than you might expect! I love that because it shows just how far you can stretch the products when you use your creativity and mix other things in! Make sure you don’t ever limit yourself to what you might think is the “theme” of a certain collection. You can take it apart and use individual papers and elements in any unique way you can dream of!!

I’m such a fan of color! Sometimes I like a more monochromatic look but most times what really excites me is picking just the right contrasting colors. It’s so fun to explore colors around the Maggie Holmes collection because there is always something unexpected! I love the pinks and blues, and always just a bit of yellow!

With this page I wanted to throw on the color! I ran out of white cardstock so light colored cardstock or polka dots was the perfect next choice. There’s always a few neutrals in her collections as well. Plus you can always use a little white paint or gesso to create some white space!I cut out a few of my watercolor practice leaves and elements to add some color to my page. They all sort of worked together. After panting over a bit of the polka dot paper I added some journaling to my page. I added a few fussy cut flowers from the black and white floral paper and I was all done! Have a great week!

Happy Monday!
