So Fun!

When we were at Creativation last month, it was so much fun to hear all of the feedback from the store owners and designers about Carousel! As you know, we released this collection in June last summer and Flourish was the new release that we were highlighting at the show. However, because Carousel is still current, we also displayed and showed it in the booth. I kept hearing over and over from all of the store owners, kit club owners etc how much their customers LOVE Carousel! It was exciting because Flourish was definitely getting a lot of the attention, but it was fun to hear that people were also still so excited about Carousel! A couple of people even commented that we were ahead of the game on this one because of the circus elements and how it ties right in with the wildly popular movie The Greatest Showman! Who knew when we were designing these products that a circus themed movie would be coming out shortly after and would steal all of our hearts and take over all of our playlists! haha! Thanks for the support Hugh Jackman and cast! (wink, wink) Anyway, we have a darling scrapbook page for you today using some of my favorite products from Carousel! My sweet daughter – Miss K and her best friend had a fun meet up during their school holidays. They went to play in an indoor fun park and had lunch together. It was indeed a very memorable day for her and her little friend. And as a mom who scrapbooks, I think it is important to cherish memories like these so that they will last a long time. I wanted to keep the layout simple but yet fun. I printed the photo in black & white and decided to use the pop of colors around the photo. For the background paper, I chose a b&w dotted patterned paper to match the photo. I also machine stitched the edges to create a frame and then threw in some black and white embellishments to keep everything cohesive.

Adding embellishments like the black & white striped bow will sure bring out the texture and dimension I was going for. It looked really good with the rest of the colors too.

To create a more playful look to the layout, I added star chipboard stickers and also the scalloped sticky pad stickers to create a pattern at the top of the photo. I believe with a little planning and some thoughts given to your project, it will sure ease the timing and also speed up the creative process.
