Hello! With the holidays right around the corner, we all seem to have gift-giving and packaging on our minds! I’ve been gathering some fun wrapping paper when I see it and have vowed not to wait until the last minute to wrap presents! I just love seeing pretty packages under the tree throughout the holiday season!
Amanda has a darling packaging DIY for us today with this cute embellished canvas gift bag. I love these little bags for those small delicate gifts that you have. With just a few supplies you can turn the packaging into a gift in itself and make the one receiving it feel truly special!
Hi Friends! As we approach the upcoming holiday season, I get giddy thinking about all the wrapping of packages. Today I wanted to share with you a fun way to use canvas bags and monogram letters to create a pretty and personalized gift.
Once I placed my gift inside my dyed canvas bag, I added a paper doily and then wrapped gold crepe paper that I ruffled with my sewing machine around the bag. I then added a vintage pink strip of elastic on top of the ruffled crepe paper. The elastic helps hold everything together. To add a little sparkle, I wrapped a piece of gold tinsel around the bag.
One of my favorite papers from the new Shine collection is the 12×12 black frames. There are so many fun ways to use them. I cut out one of the bigger blank frames and used it to write a note to my recipient using my typewriter.
Once I had my letter typed (or you can handwrite it) I tucked it under all of my layers. To add a personalized touch I added one of the 4 inch gold letters to the top. This is a fun way to personalize your gift, using your recipient’s first letter in their name.
To attach the letter to the package I used a gold paper clip, and added a pink ribbon bow. Lastly, I added a strip of star tape to the top. I think it adds the perfect finished look to the package.
Thanks for letting me share with you today. I hope this gets you excited to pull some of your scrapbooking supplies and embellishments out to create pretty packages this holiday season!
