Pink Rug

Here is a photo of that pink rug I was telling you about from Target! I love it!!
Emily just happened to be wearing an outfit that matched the rug perfectly the day after I got it and she kept coming in and plopping herself down right on it! I think she could tell that it was something different and she thought it was cool and felt the need to sit on it!! I didn't complain though because I grabbed my camera and got some cute shots of her!

(And yes, she is 18 months and I still give her a bottle sometimes! With my boys, I was so strict and they were off of it before they were even 12 months but I just don't care as much about those details anymore I guess! She will drink from a sippy cup just fine but she loves the bottle more and sometimes I just want to give it to her…. partly because I don't want her to not be a baby anymore and I am holding onto her babyhood for as long as possible and partly because she is so comforted and happy with it. I know it has to go soon though…. and I think it will make me more sad than her! They just grow up too quickly!)
P.S. If you have emailed me and I haven't responded yet, I am sorry! I am still behind on emails from being out of town last week and I think there are also some that may have been overlooked amongst all of the typepad emails I got from the Peachy Cheap giveaway. I am sifting through them and trying to respond as quickly as possible. If you don't hear from me soon and have a question, don't be afraid to email me again! 🙂

She’s so cute. I think my oldest son was well over 2yrs if not 3 and still having the bottle at night when he went to bed and also for his daytime nap. You do whatever works for your family i say not what works for everyone else

That is an awesome rug. Emily looks adorable. I was the same with my first 3. I took the bottle away right at 12 months. Kody is almost 16 months and I still give him the bottle.

Maggie, Can I ask you how much it costs? I looked at the Target website..but for some reason when I go to look at their site searching for something I can never find it. 🙂 Your kiddos are sure cute. 🙂
Thanks for all you do to inspire.

what a gorgeous rug! although not as gorgeous as your girl! and i’ve never been strict about the bottle either. alyssa would never drink milk unless it was in a bottle … so we actually let her have one until she was almost 3 yrs old. she did the sippy cups … but the milk was only in a bottle. she is 12 yrs old now … and has never had milk since getting rid of the bottle. lol!

Thanks Jane! It is actually a dress but since it is winter I have been
putting it over jeans and it looks really cute that way! It is from old
navy! They might still have it online in the sale or clearance section. It
was a while ago but also not too long ago!
    Thanks again!

I’m glad you are still letting Em have the bottle here and there. You expressed my sentiments exactly how I feel about giving Jax his once in awhile. I know how much he loves it and even though he drinks just fine out of a sippy…I just don’t want to put myself through the complete transition yet. I’m holding on for as long as I can!!

She isn’t going to kindergarten with the bottle and when she graduates and moves away you’re not going to be kicking yourself for giving it to her. Enjoy!

That rug ain’t just lovely. It’s truly adorable. So do with your lovely sweetie enjoying her bottle of milk. They look great together indeed. I had fun reading your insights and well versed words so do with the bloggers. It’s fun to be part of this productive blog.
