Hello!! I have always been a big fan of mini albums so I am excited about sharing today’s post with you!! Amanda took one of these DIY paint swatch notebooks and turned it into a mini scrapbook! I love the size of this because it is not too big and intimidating, especially for someone that is new to scrapbooking. The other thing I love about mini albums is that you can start and finish the project in a day or a week, depending on how quickly you work… as opposed to a traditional scrapbook album that continues on and on. The satisfaction of completing the album and having something done and ready to share is awesome!!
Hi Friends. Happy Thursday! It’s always so fun for me to join your here on Maggie’s blog. Over the past few months I have been challenging myself to create more projects that are out of my normal making. Before joining Maggie’s design team I would hoard all the pretty papers and make small projects here and there. I have come to realize that when you push yourself to try something new, you just might end up liking it!!
Today I am excited to share with you a mini album, a new favorite!! And you may recognize the base of the album from this this post.
In this mini album I used lots of layers from papers, to adding vellum cut outs onto ruffled tags.
The cute pink deer is one of my favorite pieces in the open book collection. I have been saving it, and so excited to use it on this page.
You might have noticed the base of the pages are paint samples from the paint store, the size of the swatches are 5×4. Using adhesive I added pattern paper to the back side of the paint sample. I love how the papers mix with the colors on the front.
Thanks for letting me share with you today. I hope this project has inspired you to go out of your comfort zone and try something new!!
