Open Book Mini Album

Hi there! When I asked Amanda to be on my design team I knew that she would bring her amazing crafty talents to the table…. but I also secretly hoped to get her into scrapbooking as well because I knew that if she tried it, she would be AWESOME!! Well she has been teasing me for a while now saying that she wanted to create a mini album and she finally took the leap and jumped in with both feet!! Believe it or not, these are her first scrapbook pages, which you would never even guess because, just like I imagined, they are so so fabulous!! Rest assured, she will still be creating lots of crafty things like packaging and cards, etc to share here on the blog, but how cool is it that she is now doing a little scrapbooking as well??!! So fun!!

Hi Friends, Happy Tuesday. I am so excited to share with you today my first project using Maggie’s new Open Book Collection. It is by far my favorite collection. I have been having so much fun creating with all the embellishments and pretty paper.

I have been wanting to create a mini album for awhile now. I have never really created a mini album or layout (I know, can you believe it??) so today I am excited to share with you my first few pages!

Each page is sized to 5.5 x 6.75. And since all my photos were square I knew I didn’t want a square page.

I loved mixing simple designs with pages that are more decorative and full of embellishments.

For a fun little surprise I added in a clear glassine bag behind my 4×4 photo to hold similar photos that I had already printed on my instax printer.

I had so much fun making these pages. I can’t wait to finish the rest of them so I can show you the finished book!!

Happy Tuesday!!

      Hi Kim,
      I am with you.
Since this was my first time really printing photos for a layout I was struggling too. Most of my photos came right off my phone. I wanted something quick and easy so I actually used the Walgreens app. off my phone and used their square collage setting (as my photos were already set to square) and printed a 8×8 sheet printing me 4 photos on a sheet. The photos are 4×4. I had a little extra room to leave some white space around the edges when I cut them. Walgreens app also has a IG setting where it will print your square photos from your account but because some of my photos were in my camera roll the square collage worked great. I hope this helps. And just to be clear I am not a Walgreens app representative 😉
