Hi again!! I’ve been so excited to share this mini album from Amanda with you all!! As soon as I saw a little peek of it, I knew it would be amazing! It is bright and colorful and so happy and fun! To me, that epitomizes the SHINE collection and I love how Amanda used it to bring her memories of her vacation to life!! Read on for the details about Amanda’s darling travel mini book! Towards the end of October I took a road-trip to Tulsa, OK to host a BE CRAFTY workshop with my dear friend Ashley. I love creating mini albums for trips or events in my life. They are great for memory keeping, and to help me remember the fun adventures in life.
For the front cover I used a piece of cardboard that came off a box I was going to recycle. Using water colors I created an ombre effect and then added green letter stickers as the title “OKLAHOMA.” Whenever I get an opportunity, I love using state shapes to help represent a trip.
I wanted to keep the first page simple and more of a cover page . I added a white tag with a little description of the trip adding a few embellishments on the bottom of the tag.
The size of this mini is 5×7 with the inside pages being a bit smaller.
One of my favorite (ok they all are my favorite) papers is the one with the month cut-outs. This helps me remember when events happen, as I often will forget if I don’t include it within the album.
One the side, I used a felt confetti dot that we used at the workshop and stapled a gold heart to the top. I love including little pieces of memorabilia from my trips.
I added a couple of tassels to a gold paper clip and then tucked it behind the photo so it was noticeable. To finish it off I added a pink paper fan sticker.
This gold heart transparency paper is so fun, I just love the gold glittered hearts!
Cupcake wrappers are one of my all time favorites to use on projects. I recently found some mini mini wrappers. I don’t even know what you could put inside them, they are so small! I added one to the top of my photo along with some embellishments.
I started this project shortly after getting home from my trip and I am just getting around to finishing it. I love that about mini albums… you can always put them down and come back to finish later. I am so glad I came to back complete it!
