My newest collection – Open Book – is starting to show up in stores!! It’s always super exciting for me to reveal the new collections, but it is even more fun to see the products make it into your hands so you can start creating with them! I’ve been reposting on my instagram account when I see stores that have gotten the products in and hopefully that helps you all get your hands on the products you want!! Once you do start creating projects, please remember to tag me so I can see what you all are making! It is awesome to be inspired by all of you and the things you create!!
I’m still waiting myself to get some of the products, but am having fun making layouts with the chipboard, vellum, ephemera and papers! This week I created a quick layout using a photo I took on our trip to Germany last summer. I love this “my heart is full” piece from the cut out paper and instantly knew it would make the perfect title for my layout.
I am in LOVE LOVE LOVE with the package of die cut flowers and leaves! They are seriously my favorite thing ever and I just can’t get enough of them! I love how many different clusters and combinations you can make with all of the pieces! For this layout I also added in a die cut floral piece that I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. The cut file was designed by Kim and was part of my 30 Days of Me class at Studio Calico. I cut it on white cardstock and then painted it with some of my favorite gold mist.
Next I added in a floral shape that I cut from a bright magenta crepe paper and a silk flower in the same color. I added those in because I wanted to tie in that magenta color of my pants from the photo. I also love adding in some different textures and dimension to make the paper and vellum flowers come to life even more!
To finish off the floral cluster I also added some of the gold sequin leaves from my Styleboard collection and a couple of vintage buttons.
And finally, to add a little balance to the other side of the page I grouped some of the ephemera pieces along with some sequins, a chipboard piece, a rub on and my initial from this alphabet set.
Stay tuned for lots more projects and inspiration using my new Open Book collection!! I can’t wait to get the rest of the products so I can create more things!!
