Mixing Florals

Hi friends! If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love flowers! I really can’t ever get enough… whether it’s fresh flowers in a vase in our home, planting flowers in our yard, a pretty floral notebook, pillow or skirt, using them on my scrapbook pages, or even taking photos of pretty flowers. I’ve always loved flowers… they really just make me happy! Design team member, Kim‘s layout today features lots of flowers, so naturally I absolutely LOVE it!! One thing I am definitely loving about her page is that she shows us it’s totally ok to mix lots of different florals together! She’s used a mix of flowers from different collections and also different styles and it all looks so pretty on her page! Read on for Kim’s tips for making this beautiful scrapbook layout.

I wanted to create a light page with lots of layers so I painted my cardstock a pretty light lavender color.  It was actually too light to capture in my photos but you can see a tint of color behind my photo.  I gathered lots of the flower bits from past collections and used them around my photo as well as some floral cuts I had in my stash. It’s time for spring and that means using all of my favorite things.  A bit of paint and florals does the trick.  I love to really layer them on.  I used to hoard them but slowly you realize you should use them, your stash gets bigger and there are always new collections of pretty things. Happy crafting everyone! Happy Tuesday!
