Kim has a scrapbook page to share with us today that is really getting me in the mood for fall!! Even though the colors are still bright and fun and don’t necessarily scream fall, I love that it still has that feeling to it! The leaves and the greens draw me right in and make me feel ready for cooler temps and soups for dinner!
I just can’t help myself, whenever the weather begins to cool down and the colors begin to change I get completely caught up in the season!! Every leaf is an inspiring little thing. So for the most part a lot of my pages during fall have lots of leaves on them. For this page I cut a series of leaves from my Silhouette library using some of the Styleboard papers and older collections. Maggie’s collections always work so well together and have such an eclectic feel to them that I love.
I found this title on pinterest and thought it would be so cute on a page so I used the text feature on my Silhouette Cameo and cut it out on a 12 x 12 sheet of white cardstock. I painted the background page using acrylic paints in an ombre effect down the center just enough to show through the letters. I love the contrast of the deep greens and lighter mint green. This is a simple technique that can be used over and over again!
This is such a fun and simple page that lets you pull out your paints and just play!
Have an awesome week everyone!
