Yep her home is only 362 square feet total! She packs so much beauty into such a tiny little space + I’m loving the light and airy springtime vibe her tiny cottage has right now!
I’m loving all of the whites/neutrals mixed with the wood tones that immediately warm the space right up. It’s also the season for infusing new life into your home with the use of live plants. Since we just moved in to our new home I feel like I am making daily trips to the nursery the last few weeks! As I work on the design for each of our rooms, I love selecting which greenery to bring in to the space. It immediately makes a room feel more like home to me.
In an interview with Joss & Main, here’s what Whitney had to say about incorporating plants and greenery into your home as decor:
We love your creative and abundant use of plants and greenery in your home. Tell us a little more about this design choice, and any tips you have for creatively incorporating plants as decor.
Plants instantly make a space feel alive, fresh and welcoming, and can transform a room of any size. Greenery is an easy way to regularly update the style of your home without hurting your wallet or the environment. I’ve had the same vases for years, yet they look different every week thanks to the greenery that goes in them. I began decorating with plants and clippings when I decided that I didn’t want to live a cluttered life. If possible, forego items like bookends and trinkets, and fill their place with plants. You’ll brighten your home and avoid accumulating excess belongings.
I’m also in LOVE with Whitney’s patio! Can you say dreamy? She’s created the perfect little secret garden and I want to head there now with a blanket and a good book!
Again, it’s the greenery that makes it feel so warm and inviting to me, along with the twinkle lights of course! It may take us a while to get there but I have similar visions for our back patio as well. It’s so inviting and I want to create that same feel for our family and friends.
