I feel like the aftermath of a good creative session is such a lovely beautiful mess… I almost hate to clean it up! But I am one that has to clean up in between projects because I need a fresh clean workspace to start from. The problem I find when cleaning up is that I have a ton of scraps leftover and I don’t know what to do with all of them! I hate to throw them away but I also wonder if I will ever really use them again when I do save them. Do you run into that same problem? Well, Kim is here to inspire us to actually use up those scraps! I am always in awe that she does this in such a gorgeous way!! You would never know that her scraps are even scraps! She incorporates them into her layouts in a way that looks intentional and part of the design! I’m definitely inspired to start saving those leftovers and will look at them in an entirely different way from now on!
I always seem to find some way to use up my scraps and today I want to share with you an example of a scrapbook layout I made doing just that! This page started with a scrap piece that I placed onto my neutral background. I really liked the negative space that was left so I used it as a sort of frame on my page and then built my page around that concept. I added the photo in the center of the frame and then layered on my embellishments. The fun little cut outs add lots of unexpected dimension.
There’s all sorts of ways to use your leftover papers and this is just one example of that. I hope I’ve inspired you to save your scraps and put them to use in creative ways in your scrapbooking! Thanks for stopping by!!
