Happy Day

Hello! We have some more beautiful scrapbooking inspiration from design team member Jessy today that I’m excited to share with you! When recording your family memories, I think it’s super important to capture your kids just as they truly are at each stage or age in their lives. Sometimes we get too caught up in worrying about the photos being perfect or the outfits matching or coordinating exactly with the products we will use to create or embellish the scrapbook page. Then we get stuck thinking we can’t continue if we don’t have those exact matching products.

Jessy’s layout today is a perfect example of a very important thing to remember > you don’t have to match the theme or design of your products exactly to the photo or theme of what your children are doing. You can draw inspiration from them and use coordinating colors and things that feel like they work well, but follow Jessy’s lead and remember you don’t have to use stickers and papers that literally have the disney character in them. You can use what you have or other products that you love and still record those special memories of your sweet kiddos.

My eldest daughter is such a huge fan of Disney princesses. She has a great collection of princess costumes and dresses. Well, that’s because I like buying all these cute princess costumes for her too *ahem*. She especially loves wearing them to school & yes, she is the only girl who does that in her school! Haha! Whenever she asks to wear her princess costume, I’ll take the opportunity to snap a photo.

While I was browsing her costumes, I drew inspiration from her Princess Sofia’s dress. Princess Sofia is a little girl who has a special amulet that she uses to communicate with the animals in the castle and forest. With that, I knew I had to include some of the beautiful animal elements that I can find in the Bloom collection.

Tip > Don’t be afraid to use more than one design of patterned paper on a layout. Just be sure that the design/color matches well when they are used together.

Layering chipboard stickers & the ephemera pieces together sure creates amazing texture and dimension. I love how all of the elements piled up onto each other. Just too cute! Thank you for letting me share today! Xoxo Jessy
