Hello friends! Hope you have had a great week! It’s friday! Who’s ready for the weekend? I know I am! Today we have a sweet floral scrapbook page to inspire you from design team member Stephanie! Hand cut letters are so fun and in right now and I love how she cut them from the soft floral pattern. It keeps her page feeling light and sweet but using the freehand letter style for her title also makes it hip and fresh at the same time! Adorable!
When I find a paper that I just love love love, I always try to think of fun ways to utilize that paper on my pages! The floral paper from the Bloom collection totally stole my heart (and after contemplating hoarding it), I decided to highlight the paper by using it as my title.
I started by hand cutting out the letters for my title LOVE. There really is no rhyme or reason when it comes to cutting out letters and the whole process can actually be very fun and freeing since there are no lines and no rules!
After my title was cut out, I started playing around with a few paper layers and my photos. I wanted the title and the colors from the title to be a main point on my page, so I kept the remaining papers and embellishments very simple and easy.
I used a semi-grid design on my page and created two rows with my photos, title and the extra bits. I backed my page with the pink and white striped paper also from the Bloom collection. Using this paper helped bring out some of the pinks from the title, as well as from the tags on the page!
Overall, this is a very simple, but fun and playful layout! You could hand cut a phrase or favorite quote, or even those funny things your child says! Anything goes here! Just grab your scissors and get crafty!
