Gratitude

I had my 3rd baby 3 weeks ago and ended up having a c-section because he was transverse. Anyway, it was a lot harder recovery than a normal delivery and it has taken a while to bounce back. The doctor told me that I couldn’t do any housework or lift anything over 10 pounds for 2 weeks. It has been hard because we have a lot of stairs in our house and I am so used to picking up my other boys. I have just been thinking about how grateful I am for all of the help that I have received. My husband had to go out of town on business the day after I delivered so my mom and my sister took Tyler and Matthew for 4 days, which was a huge help. Not to mention the fact that they came to see me at the hospital and brought me dinner a couple of times. My mother-in-law came to the hospital each day to see me, brought adorable gifts and even brought me a diet from Sonic!!! My sister-in-law took Tyler and Matthew one day so that they could go to their cousin’s birthday party. After I got home I received meals from neighbors for a whole week, which was so helpful and nice!! Neighbors came over and took Matthew to play a couple of days. My mom and sister came out and helped with laundry, cleaning, dishes, bathing the boys for bed, etc. So many people have brought adorable gifts over for the baby! And finally, my sweet husband has been so helpful – cleaning and cleaning and cleaning, taking such good care of Tyler and Matthew, grocery shopping, carrying things up and down the stairs for me and catering to my every need. I am so grateful and I have been thinking about how I couldn’t have done it without the help of so many wonderful friends and family members. I hope that they all know how grateful I am for them.
