Give Away!!

I have been doing some Spring (or actually Summer) cleaning around here and I went through all of my scrapbook supplies to re-organize a few things and to purge some of my excess. Purging and organizing seem to be a constant activity for me… always striving to find the balance between having what I need and will use vs having just too much stuff. The older I get, the less I like clutter and I feel the constant need to get rid of the excess. And I also realize that part of this is resisting the urge to buy so much – especially when it comes to scrapbooking. I know I find myself wanting all of the new products, when in reality I just can’t use it all! I am getting better though and that is why I love the monthly kits so much! It gives me a sampling of the latest and greatest while keeping me out of the scrapbook stores where I would probably buy 10 times as much stuff! Anyway, lucky for you, I now have some very large stacks of products that I would like to share with those of you that scrapbook and that would put all of it to good use!

I will draw a winner for the first give away on Friday! All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post and answer the following: As a scrapbooker/crafter/photographer, what would you like to see more of from me? What questions do you have for me? What techniques or projects would you like to see more of? When you come here, what are you looking for – inspiration, photos, techniques???? I want to be posting things that are helpful to you all and things that you like to see, so please tell me!! I am all ears!

    Hi Maggie,
I love your blog and absolutely adore your photographs. I can tell you have a true talent and that this is what you are meant to do in life.
I would love two things. Photoshop Actions for Photoshop Elements. And also, maybe some ideas for color combinations when using a black & white vs a vintage vs a color photo. Kinda basic stuff but I always love to hear other peoples thought processes….
Have a great day and keep up the good work on your blog, I love reading it.

i love your work, maggie! both your photography and your scrapbooking!! 🙂
i am such a visual person, so more pictures would be a dream for me! i study them to see how the folks in your photos are “placed” even though i know that they are [almost] never staged photos. i try to visualize where you stand to get the shots you got, and maybe even try to visualize the shots you see in your head that you want to get and how i can go about obtaining those, as well.
on the scrappin’ side, i just love to see the pages with your beautiful kiddos! how about some more pages with YOU on them!! i don’t have any children yet and a push toward a page with myself would be helpful!!
    thanks a million!

I visit your blog because I think you are a really great photographer and because I think you are a talented scrapbooker too.
At the moment I am taking Karen Russell’s fabulous Snapshots of a Good Life photography course and so to add to that, I’d be really interested in your process when you are shooting, things you consider and check before hitting the shutter button … it’s always good to consider what other’s do while you are trying to improve your own process.
I’d also be interested in any tips you have, little things that work for you … both in photography and scrapbooking, if you’d be happy to share. 🙂

I really admire the pictures you take. Since I bought this new fangled camera (Canon XTI) and don’t know a thing about it or what glass to buy, I would love you to show/tell what lens and settings you used on some of your pics. Then (maybe…fingers crossed) I won’t be so intimidated about taking it off auto, I will have some starting point of how to use the aperture and shutter speeds.

I come here for photo inspiration mostly, not scrapbooking. While I do both, learning scrapbooking is not as important as learning to take the perfect picture to scrapbook. That is afterall what the scrapbook page should focus on, the pics, not necessarily all the embellishments that sometimes takes over the page. I would love to have some of your stash though!

Thanks for the a new challenge you have exposed in your blog post. One thing I would like to touch upon is that FSBO associations are built after a while. By introducing yourself to owners the first weekend their FSBO is definitely announced, ahead of masses begin calling on Monday, you produce a good connection. By giving them tools, educational resources, free reviews, and forms, you become an ally. If you take a personal affinity for them plus their circumstances, you create a solid link that, on many occasions, pays off once the owners decide to go with a representative they know along with trust – preferably you.

Thanks for your write-up. One other thing is when you are disposing your property by yourself, one of the difficulties you need to be aware of upfront is when to deal with house inspection accounts. As a FSBO seller, the key concerning successfully switching your property plus saving money with real estate agent income is awareness. The more you already know, the smoother your sales effort are going to be. One area that this is particularly important is home inspections.

Thanks for your article. I would love to opinion that the first thing you will need to do is determine if you really need fixing credit. To do that you will need to get your hands on a duplicate of your credit rating. That should never be difficult, considering that the government mandates that you are allowed to get one no cost copy of the credit report each year. You just have to check with the right individuals. You can either read the website with the Federal Trade Commission or maybe contact one of the major credit agencies specifically.

Thanks for the advice on credit repair on this excellent web-site. The things i would tell people is usually to give up a mentality that they may buy today and pay back later. As a society most people tend to try this for many things. This includes holidays, furniture, plus items we want. However, you should separate one’s wants from the needs. When you’re working to raise your credit ranking score you really have to make some trade-offs. For example it is possible to shop online to economize or you can visit second hand retailers instead of costly department stores to get clothing.

Thanks for your publication. I also feel that laptop computers have become more and more popular nowadays, and now are sometimes the only form of computer found in a household. This is due to the fact that at the same time that they’re becoming more and more cost-effective, their working power is growing to the point where they’re as powerful as personal computers from just a few years ago.

It’s really regarding building associations with these dealers who sooner or later will become customers. So, after you give your time and effort to supporting these vendors go it alone : the “Law connected with Reciprocity” kicks in. Thanks for your blog post.

I do believe that a foreclosures can have a important effect on the applicant’s life. Real estate foreclosures can have a Several to decade negative impact on a client’s credit report. Any borrower who’s applied for home financing or just about any loans for that matter, knows that a worse credit rating is actually, the more hard it is to obtain a decent financial loan. In addition, it might affect a new borrower’s capacity to find a good place to lease or hire, if that results in being the alternative houses solution. Great blog post.
