I shared some Christmas gift wrap inspiration last week and have had some questions about what kinds of gifts I put inside the boxes. These were for my design team girls so I thought it would be fun to share with you what I sent them. You can use these ideas as a sort of gift guide for your crafty friends!
It’s always more rewarding to give gifts than to receive and I just love searching for and picking out the perfect items for my family and friends at Christmas! It’s especially fun when you have a box like this to fill up because you can get a variety of different things and place it inside in a pretty way! I suggest getting your boxes first so you know the size and then as you are out shopping you can be thinking of that as you pick things to fill it up!
Since these were Christmas gifts I decided to keep the contents centered around a holiday theme as well. As crafters and scrapbookers, I knew my design team would love the little holiday items that they could use to create their own DIY packaging or to use on a scrapbook page, mini album, etc.
I included some mini bottlebrush trees and the tiny deer figurine, along with this darling felt snowflake. They are not available anymore but you can die cut your own out of felt using this Snowflake Die and your Sizzix Big Shot or similar die cut machine. Next I found some adorable wooden spools of ribbon so I included them, plus a gold vintage glass ornament to add some sparkle and shine! You can also look for the wooden spools at thrift stores or antique shops and wrap them with your own ribbon. That’s what I did with the small ones that have the gold glitter ribbon. They are so cute right!?
To finish off my gift boxes I included a set of cards, tags and a cute pen. These are a little more generic in theme/color and can be used for Christmas or could be used for any other occasion as well. I put some packaging crinkle paper strips on the bottom of the inside of the box and then I neatly placed each item inside so that it would look organized and pretty when they opened it up! I love how it turned out and how the contents inside match the vibe and feel of the outside and how it all flows together!
I hope this inspires you to be creative when choosing your gifts this year. They don’t have to be super expensive… rather heartfelt and thoughtful in choosing things you know they will love and that they will appreciate. That goes a long way in my book and makes all the difference!
