I have another very talented guest designer for you today! Wendy Antenucci makes the most beautiful projects and I am drawn right in to her layered and dimensional style!! Today she is sharing an embellished gold jar and darling card using the Open Book Collection! Keep reading for all of the details!!

I am addicted to gold!  I love grabbing some empty jars and spraying them with gold spray paint! Instantly they become lovely home decor pieces just waiting to be embellished.  This particular jar matched up with some lovely finery from the Open Book collection to create a jar fit for your next party or celebration!

I wanted to copy the pink crepe paper fringes on the tags in the collection and so I gathered my crepe paper streamers and sewed down the middle to form a longer piece which would go around my jar.  Doilies are one of my favorite pieces to add in when I am creating and perfect for layering various tags, stickers, and some of the gorgeous flowers included in this collection.  A piece of twine tied at the top added in a slightly homespun feel to a frilly delight!

My card began with the “Heart is Full” sentiment and then I added a few die-cut pieces in a group at the top and bottom to draw your eyes through my card which is ready to send to someone special.

Thank you Wendy for sharing your talents with us today! If you’d like to see more of Wendy’s work you can find her here >> blog / Facebook / instagram
