Today we are back with another cute DIY gift bag tutorial for you! This one comes from Stephanie and I love all of the little layers she used! I am also dying over the custom little pocket she made to tuck their gift of money inside. So much cuter than just sticking it into the bag or envelope right? Plus it makes it interactive, which makes a gift like this even more unique! Keep reading to see how to make your own version of these darling DIY kraft gift bags!
Sometimes one card or letter just isn’t enough, right? That was the case for us this past weekend as we created card after card and letter after letter for my sweet neighbor who graduated from high school. When I looked at the stack of cards we had made for our neighbor, I knew I had to put together some type of gift bag to hold them all! Of course the bits and pieces from Maggie’s Confetti collection were perfect for creating a simple tag gift bag and a money “pocket” as well!
For the gift bag, I trimmed a piece of the gold glittered banners down to make a small little banner. Then I added two simple tags and a layered embellishment onto the top of my polka dot bag. I stapled all of the tags into place so they wouldn’t fall off (they were a little heavy), and used a small wooden clothespin to clip to the top of the bag. I added the sweet little blue bird with a pop dot to keep it in place, and to give the right side of the bag a little dimension.
Along with our cards and letters, we included a little money in our envelope, and instead of just adding it into a card, I used a piece of white cardstock to sew up a gift card holder. I first sewed the acrylic letter and tag to the front of the card holder and then sewed around the sides to create a small pocket. The paper flag and paper clip were just little decorative extras.
