“Easier Than Ever” Giveaway

I have TWO extra copies of this special issue from CK just waiting to be sent out to the lucky winners!

This issue is all about making scrapbooking EASY! And who doesn't need a little dose of easy every now and then right? Especially during the summer months when it seems that we would all rather be out making memories than inside scrapbooking!

All of the layouts in the book can be created in less than an hour and they all have an "ingredient" list along with step-by-step instructions. Plus, most of the layouts feature 4×6 photos so you don't even have to worry about cropping/enlarging, etc!

The best part: there is lots of eye candy and tons of inspiration… even if you don't want to create the pages exactly as shown, there are a ton of ideas to pull from!

All you have to do to enter the drawing is leave a comment on this post and tell me your favorite summer activity…. I am always looking for new and fun things to do with the kids so I can't wait to hear all of your ideas! I will draw two winners on Tuesday! (I apologize in advance but the contest is only open to residents of the US… unless you want to pay for the extra shipping… sorry!)

Oh, and one more thing because I wish I could give one to everyone — If you don't win, I have a special coupon for you that you can use to get 15% off of the issue! It is valid until May 31st but cannot be combined with any other discount offer… Feel free to share it with your friends!. Click here to purchase and use this code: QEYB-5778-ULYB.

Our family loves visiting Disneyland in the evenings! We usually get to the park as the sun is starting to go down. That way we miss the heat and and the hustle and bustle of the day! We like to grab some popcorn and a churro for the kids and watch a parade or the fireworks show. Sometimes, if the lines aren’t too long, we’ll catch a few of our favorite rides and enjoy a Disney evening as a family!

I love to bike ride with my son to our community pool, swim and play in the pool, then hop on the bike and go for a ride to the park. Living in South FL, this is nicer to do towards the end of the day. For those really HOT days we like to go to the library. Enjoy your summer. Side walk chalk, the hose, and sprinklers are always fun too. I like to keep it simple and do things we used to do as kids. Picnics in the yard! Oh wow I guess I am ready for school to get out! šŸ™‚

I love all of the usual summer time activities, but quiet time is wonderful also. We had a summer read a thon and kept a list of how many books they read. Good thing is any book counts even a comic book. Comic books help children process information and follow multiple steps.
My children are grown now and their comic collections are worth a great deal of money. They wont sell them but they are all popular now.
When they were young we traveled in the summer we loved to visit antique and junk stores. When we stopped the children would look for comic books, which gave them something to read in the car. Plus it gave us a little time to look, before they got bored.
Thanks, have a great summer- Gayle

We love to be outdoors…so this past fall I took the kids on a picnic and brought along paint and didn’t tell them. This might be a different one-Fill an empty cool whip dish about 1/4 full of water, then add little toys (balls, cars, beads, etc) Place in freezer until frozen. Take out ice chunk and put in a slightly bigger bowl. Add more water, freeze again. Repeat. The idea is that you have trinkets frozen in different layers of ice. Give the kids eyedroppers, old toothbrushes, etc and let them “search” for their treasures! They are way fun to personalize- my daughter loves pretty beads, bracelets, etc. They get to sit outside on hot days playing with ice! Too fun!

Beach, beach, beach! Both of my girls take after me with their love for the beach! Whether it’s just a quick day trip, a weekend getaway, or a big summer vacation. I could just lay in the sun all day, feeling the sand in my toes, listening to the waves and watching the kids play. LOVE IT!

I love the look of this. Simple and easy is so what I’m about this year!!! Looks like a great book. We have a pool and spend the entire summer getting in and out and back in as we get hot. I just LOVE summer. We have so much fun, I can’t wait for it to hurry up and come back but have to brave the winter first here downunder!

There are lots of things we like to do in the summer and we are fortunate enough to be in South Florida with water all around us! I am 5 minutes from the beach. We also have a yearly pass to the Zoo which is also 5 minutes from us and they have one of those water fountains the kids can play in which is great on a hot day. The sprinkler in the backyard is always fun if you want to stay close to home with frozen koolaid pops. My son has also enjoyed roller skating at the rink and does that bring back memories for me!! That was big when I was a teen and the price is not bad during the day on saturday and sunday.

I love summertime with my kids. We keep so busy with swimming lessons, pool time, picnics, sprinkler play, daycamp, etc. But one thing we like to do if it is too hot out or raining is go to the local movie theater for a free kids movie. The theaters in our area
offer free morning movies for kids. That can be a fun escape sometimes.

Awwww, just the slowing down, taking it easy and really enjoying each other. I LOVE summer for this very reason.
