It’s almost time… Christmas is just about here and I am so so excited!! I’ve been wrapping up a storm and trying to get everything finished and ready for Christmas day! I love today’s post from design team member, Amanda Rydell because she has some darling Christmas wrapping inspiration for those of us that are still working on getting our packages finished and ready to go. I love that she used a simple tissue paper to wrap her gift and then topped it off with the cutest embellished star tags! They are the perfect festive finishing touch! Read on for the full tutorial and happy wrapping!
Well, here we are just a few days from Christmas. Have you shopped till you dropped, or maybe you’re smart and avoided all the crowds at the mall and did your shopping online. I finally got all my items crossed off my list and now I have shopping bags sitting in multiple spots in my house with gifts just waiting to get wrapped. So now the fun begins, wrapping all the gifts!
After gathering all my wrapping supplies I wanted to share with you how I wrapped this gift. I used a few of my favorite papers from the Maggie Holmes Gather Collection to create a couple of cute gift tags.
Using a cardboard star as my template, I traced around some patterned papers to create the star shape and then I added some fun embellishments to complete them!
I love using my We R Memory Keepers typewriter to write notes and messages. I typed a Merry Christmas message for each star tag using basic white cardstock. I like to use heavier paper like cardstock so that it holds it form, as opposed to the thin copy paper that would be more floppy.
Once I had my messages typed, I cut the paper into flag shapes and attached them to my stars with adhesive. On the polka dot star I used a hot pink thread and stitched it onto my tag with my sewing machine.
