DIY Gift Tags

When it comes to decorating cards and gifts, it is always helpful to plan ahead and create a bunch of things beforehand. That way you have some things ready to go and it makes the process of giving a handmade card or package simple and easy on the day you need it. Design team member, Jessy has some cute DIY gift tags to share with us today. You can make a lot of these all at once and then keep them in a cute little storage container near your other gift wrap supplies. Then when you need to dress up a package or gift bag, you can simply tie one of these on and you are all set! Read on to find out how to make these darling gift tags!

I have always loved to alter tags or make handmade cards to use on gift packaging. Often times, I will use scraps that I can find in my stash. That way I don’t have to put the little pieces away and forget about them. Just by using scrap pieces on the tags, I can use up my leftover supplies. I store them in a container and just pick them up whenever I need them 🙂 Adding embellishments like chipboard stickers, ephemera die-cuts and sentiment stickers will sure add dimension to the tags. By layering the embellishments onto each other, it will also enhance the look of the tags too. I finished my tags with a paper clip and little tassel added to each one. It gives even more dimension to the tags.

Remember, there is certainly no right or wrong way to create, just enjoy the process! Thanks for coming by! Xoxo Jessy

Happy Thursday!
