Darling Moment

Hello! Even though we are all super excited about the new Bloom collection, we are still loving and using the SHINE collection! Shine is actually still quite new and it even had it’s own full section at CHA in the booth! It was fun to see it all on display and reminded me how much I still want to create with it! It’s so bright and fun and happy…. none of us are ready to set it aside! So, over the next few months we will be sharing lots of ideas, projects and inspiration using both Shine and Bloom, and even showing how you can mix products from the two collections together!

We have a cute new scrapbook layout from Jessy today and I love the title > Darling Moment! I also love that she talks about pulling out older photos to scrapbook with and using your thoughts and reflections to direct the page and the journaling. It brings about such meaning and depth to a page and really is what memory keeping is all about. We don’t have to stop at the what and when of a photo… we can pull an image from years past and simply talk about what it makes us feel… or anything that is sparked by the memory of the photo or experience! So great! Thanks for the inspiration Jessy!

Every now & then, I like to pick older photo(s) to scrap. It is really great to see the changes and to look back on how things have changed our lives. This particular photo was taken on my daughter’s 2nd birthday in 2015. And I had this idea to journal my thoughts about her and to let her know what is about to happen in 2016. It’s amazing how a photo can speak so much about reflection in life. And the beauty of all this, we can choose to scrapbook the thoughts and reflections so we may remember them for a long time to come!

I began my process by placing the title in the middle, towards the top. Next, I positioned the photo to the left, adhered the papers at the top and finally worked my way down by adding embellishments. I knew I wanted to have more space for journaling so I left some empty spaces in the middle, in between all of the beautiful embellishments. Once I was done with the composition and placement of the embellishments, I completed my layout with some stitching at the top and bottom + splattered some gold mists.

Thank you for coming by! Hope you will have a great day! Xoxo Jessy

Happy Wednesday!
