How to Find Scrapbooking Inspiration:
- I always go through the products to find inspiration for scrapbooking. I will take some time to let the products to “speak” to me.
- When I saw this calendar patterned paper, I instantly knew it would work well with some pretty fussy cutting paper & stickers.
- Therefore, I began to find other embellishments that matched with the paper, especially papers that I could do fussy cutting with.
- With just a little organization or following a system each time, trust me… you will save a lot of time on your scrapbooking! Most importantly, just enjoy the creative process. There is no right or wrong!
How to Make This Cute Scrapbook Page with Butterflies & Flowers:
- First, I wanted to create a subtle and soft look for my scrapbook layout. With that in mind, I used some gesso to go over the patterned paper. Use a wet tissue (or you can use a recycled gift card), and dab it into the gesso. Then gently swipe it onto the paper.
- After that is all dried, I adhered the photo that was layered on a paper doily, on the month of July. I intentionally did it that way because my daughter was born in that month.
- Third, I slowly built my layers around the photo, from the bottom to the top. Choose embellishments to match with the patterned paper for a cohesive look to your layout/project.
- Finally of course by adding the paper doilies, I added a pretty touch!
I love this calendar paper! It adds some meaning to my scrapbook page by showing that it is a calendar and putting my photo on her birthday month!
A cute finishing touch is to add the little stickers all around the layout. It really helped with filling up the gaps. Thanks for letting me share today! Have a good crafty week! xoxo Jessy
