Craft Room Tour > Amanda Rydell

Hello there! We have another creative space post to share with you today!! I’ve had lots of peeks into Amanda Rydell’s craft room through pictures and our many face time sessions over the last couple of years…. But, I have never seen it in full like this and I am so excited that she is sharing it with us! It’s super intriguing to see how other creative women work and I especially love seeing how other people store their supplies! I have to say, I thought that Amanda’s computer desk was in an entirely different room! haha! I’m definitely inspired by her use of white, as always, and how clean and fresh it makes the whole room feel! Read on for lots of very pretty pictures of Amanda’s studio!

Hi Friends! Today I am excited to give you a sneak peek into my craft space. I always love seeing the spaces where people create, so I hope you enjoy a little peek into my space. Sadly, I don’t have a dreamy craft room that is dedicated to just crafting. Over the past year I have been working at turning our upstairs loft area into a space that can function as a living/TV room plus work as a craft area. We removed a couch from the space that used to sit by the big window and created a cabinet that can be used for storage and workspace. Most days it is extremely messy with multiple projects in progress.

Any dresser or cabinet in this space holds some type of craft supply.

Sitting on top of the white cabinet are a variety of vintage containers which hold supplies that are used most often. My Canon Selphy printer and typewriter also sit on the corner of this cabinet as they are used daily.

A vintage mint strainer that was found at the thrift store holds a variety of papers making it easy to look through. A large vintage wood divider holds all my project life cards.

Inside the two billy bookcases that are from Ikea I keep anything from papers to paint. I try to keep it as organized as possible. Each plastic container holds my 12×12 papers that are divided into collections. The smaller containers hold stamps and other supplies that I don’t use as often.
I try to make use of the open shelves for space as well, using vintage baskets to hold glassine bags and a metal flower container that holds all my cupcake wrappers.

Back at the counter space, there are drawers that hold not only paper supplies, but this is where I also store fabrics and supplies for packaging.

My desk sits at the end of the cabinet making it easy to go back and forth between computer work and crafting. I have made use of the shelves above my computer to hold scrapbook albums, mini albums and more supplies mixed in.

As you can see, I always have someone keeping me company up here, or more like always taking a nap.

This space has quickly become my favorite room in the house. Thanks for joining me today for the quick tour of my creative space!
