Hi there! Remember these gorgeous layered butterfly cards that Kim created last month? Well she is using that same concept here today on a scrapbook page and I am in LOVE!! It shows that most of the techniques you find here on the blog can be translated into any type of paper crafting that you do…. whether it is scrapbooking, card making, packaging or a cute home decor item! I hope that you will always be thinking outside the box and using the inspiration in any way that works for you!!
Hi everyone! Fall is the season I love to scrap most, well it’s kind of neck and neck with spring! I love taking photos of the flowers and trees and all of the changing elements in nature. Since my son barely let’s me take his photo these days I scrap photos of my little outings. The photo I used for this project was one I took while at the Atlanta Botanical Garden a few weeks ago. It went perfectly with the painted butterflies I made a week ago.
I often make little embellishments or painted elements all the time and use them when just the right project comes around. I had the idea to make little journals using them but then decided to use these here and make more from different papers and in other colors. I used papers from the Flea Market collection to cut some of my butterflies.
It’s fun to cut out all different kinds of white elements from your silhouette and then paint and use them later. Plus I get to pull out my paints and do lots of fun things! Thanks for stopping in today!
