I’ve always been a big fan of the color pink and I love how well it pairs with so many other colors! It’s pretty with yellow, gorgeous with green, perfect with blue and the list goes on! Today design team member, Kim, has such a lovely color combo inspiration for us! She’s paired pink with peach, yellow, a touch of orange and even a bit of a darker magenta pink and the result is beautiful!! I’m so inspired by this combination and can’t wait to use it on a scrapbook page!!
Hi everyone. It’s Kim here today to share a fun layered page I created inspired by the season. I’m a happy crafter when I get time just to sit with my paints, papers and Silhouette cameo cuts. It’s that few moments to take your mind off more pressing things. I get little bits of time here and there and maybe an occasional few hours to complete projects. I’ll take anything really!
What I love about fall is not just the colors and cooler temperatures but also because it’s a season that we get plenty of occasions to gather together with family and friends. We get to eat good food, share laughs and do things like go to fairs and picnics. As I’ve gotten older I’ve really begun to appreciate it and look forward to a slower season. I created this page around that thought. Fall is the best time to gather together and appreciate all that is good.
I started with a painted page of a soft blush pink and a darker color in the corner. I like using an ombre effect because it grounds the page for me and usually it’s where I start using embellishments.
After I had a good stash of cut leaves I painted a few and layered them all together to complete the page. I like to paint lots of leaves and keep them for future projects. I threw on and few craft store leaves as well. All of the pinks, oranges and peaches go together so well for fall. Cheers to the season!
